WILMINGTON - Albertsons, the parent company of Shaw’s, the valley’s largest supermarket, will not merge with Kroger. After a preliminary injunction sought by the Federal Trade Commission to halt the merger was granted last week, Albertsons pulled out of its merger agreement. The company is now suing Kroger, which Albertsons claims is in breach of its merger agreement.
