Green Mountain Power’s plan hits pothole

DOVER- Green Mountain Power’s plan to bury electrical utility lines under the roads in East Dover hit a pothole at Tuesday evening’s selectboard meeting.
At a previous board meeting, the board met with Tim Jones, of Green Mountain Power, regarding the company’s proposal to upgrade electrical infrastructure that serves Townshend, Wardsboro, and East Dover.  GMP’s proposal is to bury the electrical lines under the road near the center of the road, at least 5 feet from the side of the road.
