Grant supports WINGS after-school programming

WILMINGTON- A partnership between the Wilmington Recreation Commission and Twin Valley’s WINGS program has received a $94,844 state After School and Summer Expanding Access grant.
In 2021, Vermont offered a Summer Matters for All grant that helped establish educational summer programming for Vermont students following two pandemic school years. The Expanding Access grants build on that model and now include afterschool programming as well. According to the grant program’s website, “A total of $4.23 million was awarded to 39 programs from 11 Vermont counties,” this year.
