Feds to step in for PCB remediation agreement

WILMINGTON- The federal Environmental Protection Agency will be involved in PCB remediation efforts at Twin Valley Elementary School, according to school officials.  
At Wednesday evening’s meeting of the Twin Valley School Board, supervisory union facilities manager Sean Youmel and TVES Principal Rebecca Fillion told board members that the EPA would be seeking a CAFO, or consent agreement final order, with the district in order to allow encapsulation, rather than removal, of some PCB-bearing materials.
