Education secretary says supervisory union improving, public meeting set for June 24

WILMINGTON- Interim Secretary of Education Zoie Saunders said the Agency of Education is “encouraged” that Windham Southwest Supervisory Union is “on a path to stabilizing and preparing for the 2024-2025 school year” in a recent letter to the supervisory union board.
Saunders’ letter, sent on May 28, follows a significantly less hopeful letter the board received on May 15, following an AOE visit at the end of April, at the invitation of acting superintendent Kevin Dirth, to provide technical assistance.
