Dover School water system fails to make the grade

Dover School Board Chair Rich Werner, left, gestures to make a point while school principal Matt Martyn looks on at Monday’s board meeting at Wardsboro School.

WARDSBORO - At the Dover School Board meeting on Monday, principal Matt Martyn said the school has experienced trouble with its water system this summer. Last year, the start of school was delayed due to issues with the water system. Though Martyn said school will not be delayed this year, the discussion prompted chair Rich Werner to say he thinks the board should consider replacing the water system.
Vice chair Laura Sibilia said she wishes the school was on town water and that she thinks the school board should go to the selectboard about the matter.
