WHITINGHAM- Members of the Southern Valley Unified Union School Board discussed dissolving their Act 46 merger at their regular meeting Tuesday evening.
The dissolution discussion was prompted by a request made by school board chair Chum Sumner at the board’s August meeting. At that meeting, Sumner asked the board to think about dissolving the union district, and returning to the two stand-alone town school districts that existed before Act 46.
