Despite falling virus numbers, officials continue to urge caution

MONTPELIER- Although the surge in Omicron COVID-19 cases appears to be receding in the Northeast and in Vermont, case counts remain high and state officials are urging Vermonters not to let their guard down. 
“Trends in our region are encouraging,” said Gov. Phil Scott at his Tuesday press briefing.  “But just like everything else with this virus, there are no guarantees.  The good news is Vermonters continue to step up to get boosted so they’re up-to-date and it’s making a real difference.
