Budget numbers may be promising for Readsboro restart

READSBORO- Readsboro school board members, meeting as a subcommittee of the Southern Valley Unified Union School District Board Monday evening, got their first glimpse of a proposed 2022 budget for Readsboro School.
The news may be good for Readsboro taxpayers.  Although the figures are preliminary, the proposed budget nicks about $230,000 off Readsboro’s portion of the current SVUUSD budget.  The draft 2022 budget calls for a total of $1,374,200 in spending - Readsboro’s expense in the current SVUUSD budget is $1,605,408, according to the document.
