Board will shift; students writers recognized

As part of the International Baccalaureate program, Dover School sixth-graders tried to participate in as many service projects as possible. This year, they have joined the Source to the Sea Project helping to clean up the local watershed; headed up a local UNICEF group; visited the local food pantry monthly; and collected toys for the Toys For Tots program. Above, Jack Cady, Dakota Crow-Holt, Emerson Cohen, and Eddie Oakley shop for toys.

DOVER - On Monday, the Dover Schoolboard discussed changes that may be on the horizon for the Windham Central Supervisory Union board in light of Act 46. The board also reviewed a letter that sixth-grade teacher Susan Neuman received informing her that stories written by 12 of her students were accepted into the Young Writers’ Spooky Saga Contest. The stories will be published alongside other entries from Vermont in a book that is set for publication in 2019.
