Board takes $400k to offset taxes

DOVER - At a special meeting on Monday, July 8, the Dover Selectboard approved $400,000 of a $460,000 surplus from fiscal year 2019 to offset the tax rate for fiscal year 2020. Homestead tax rates will still rise, despite the offset.
Town treasurer Marco Tallini says the majority of the rise is “on the education rate, which is set by the state.”
