DOVER- Selectboard members discussed, then tabled, their response to a new state payroll tax, and received good news about a well test at Dover Town Common.  
Board members discussed a new payroll tax under Act 76, also known as the 2023 Child Care Bill, which will provide child care assistance for families beginning in July 2024.  The law also enacted a new payroll tax of 0.44%, which will go into effect in July, to pay for the program.
