WHITINGHAM- The selectboard was rocked by its third resignation in the last few weeks, after longtime chair Keith Bronson abruptly resigned this week.  The remaining board members have scheduled a special election for Tuesday, May 7.
Board member Karl Twitchell resigned in mid-February.  In his letter of resignation, Twitchell noted he was not running for reelection and said he would not be able to attend Town Meeting.  At the board’s next meeting on February 27, board member Alan Twitchell resigned.  Both Twitchells had been on the board for as long as two decades.
