MONTPELIER- President Joe Biden has approved an emergency declaration requested by Gov. Phil Scott in response to flooding across the state caused by heavy rain storms Sunday night into Monday.
The federal action, which covers all 14 Vermont counties, will make federal disaster assistance available in the areas affected by flooding.  The declaration allows the Federal Emergency Management Agency to respond with equipment and resources, including up to 75% federal funding of disaster-related costs to public infrastructure.
