Bear killed in home invasion
WILMINGTON - A black bear was killed by a homeowner in the Chimney Hill area on Saturday, July 20.
Game Warden Richard Watkin responded to the scene. He was out of the office this week and unavailable for comment, but according to Lt. Dennis Amsden, Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department District Chief, Law Enforcement Division, the bear had gained entry to the home earlier in the day.
