Bear involved in backyard attack will be euthanized if found

WINHALL - State wildlife officials are in the process of trying to locate a bear that attacked a woman in Winhall last week. If found, the bear will be euthanized. 
The attack happened on Wednesday, November 2. Sarah Dietl, 43, was attacked by a sow in the yard of her condo, which is in a complex near Stratton Mountain Resort. Directly before the attack, she had let her dog, a Shih Tzu, out in the yard.
