Assessment test scores trending the wrong way at Dover School

DOVER- At the Dover School Board’s meeting on Monday, principal Matt Martyn shared a chart with school board members, which showed some diminishing performances on smarter balanced assessment consortium (SBAC) scores, as well as volatility of scores over time.
Martyn asked the board to look at the chart and reflect on what they saw. Chair Rich Werner said “I see some not so good things.” Werner asked if the test had changed last year, and Martyn said no, the last major change was in 2015.
“Then I’m even more concerned,” said Werner.
