WILMINGTON - On the evening of Saturday, August 14, Lake Raponda will be a little more festive than usual. That’s because that night, Moosestock VI, a concert on the lake, will be in full swing.
Moosestock is the brainchild of Joe and Holly Fortner, who are a couple and also a musical duo — Joe is a guitarist, Holly is a vocalist. Their band name is “Blind Date,” a nod to how the couple met. On February 28, 1975, Joe and Holly agreed to attend an engineering ball together to appease a mutual friend. It was their freshman year at Duke.
