WILMINGTON- Next week Wilmington will be buzzing with activity as the town welcomes residents old and new to Old Home Week, a once-in-a-decade celebration of Wilmington and Wilmingtonians.
The celebration is a year late. Last year, for the first time in its 130-year history, Old Home Week was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “In the big picture of life, it was just one more piece in the disappointment of COVID,” says OHW committee chair Nicki Steel. “We were looking forward to it, but by the time May came, it was pretty obvious we had to cancel.”
