Vote no on Article 22

To the Editor,
Long before the recent Supreme Court decision on Roe V. Wade, the state of Vermont made unrestricted abortion legal in 2019. So why now do they want to amend the Vermont Constitution as in Article 22 on Tuesday, November 8?
Article 22 says:  “An individual’s right to personal reproductive autonomy is central to the liberty and dignity to determine one’s own life course and shall not be denied or infringed unless justified by a compelling State interest achieved by the least restrictive means.”
