To the Editor,
As a 16-year-old high school student, I am extremely worried about the likelihood of a random shooting occurring in my school or neighborhood. 
Over a recent weekend in El Paso, a young man full of hate who had access to a war weapon walked into a Walmart and massacred 22 people. Less than 24 hours later, at a bar in Dayton, OH, nine people were dead at the hands of another young man. One week prior to these horrific events, three died and many were injured at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California.
