Respect to those serving the ill, keeping us safe

To the Editor,
Who would have thought, wearing my mask and gloves since March 1, going outdoors, being a germaphobe, and still contracting the coronavirus.  I wouldn’t even wish this on my woodchuck, who lives under the barn.
Staying at Bennington hospital for seven days, I developed the highest respect for the doctors, nurses, and even the aids who cleaned my room every day. I did give the aids extra work though, trying to aim the tissues into the basket at the end of my bed. Basketball is the only sport you can enjoy in a hospital room.
