Three weeks ago, Doug, a service installer with Consolidated Communications, came to my home off of Old Ark Road and connected us to their fiber internet. His visit was the culmination of efforts I became aware of last spring. Back then I noticed a great degree of activity along Wilmington’s roadways where workers were running new cable on the utility poles, new communications junction boxes on street corners, and large spools of cable positioned on the corner of Route 9 and 100 south.
