Keep Vermont’s Town Meeting tradition alive
To the Editor,
Please don’t vote down a unique Vermont tradition. Please, everybody who can attend Town Meeting do so. It is one of the traditions that makes Vermont unique. I am afraid if we go to just Australian ballot that some budgets will be voted down that people really just wanted to lower the amount, but with a ballot it is either yes or no. I’m not saying that I always vote yes on a budget. But it can be discussed and then voted yes or no or it’s lowered.
