Investigate the merger for possible violation of the law
To the Editor,
As a Marlboro College alumnus, class of 1974, I believe that the proposed merger between Marlboro and Boston’s Emerson College should be investigated for possible violation of the law.
I was initially concerned that millions of dollars of restricted funds in Marlboro’s endowment would be given away without regard for their intended purpose.
I’m also concerned that Marlboro’s administration may have violated the college’s own charter in several areas, including limiting self-governance functions and freedom of the press.
