Homeless Vermonters kicked back to the streets

To the Editor,
One night in February 2020, a homeless man named Thierry Heuga went to sleep under a bridge in Bennington. It was four degrees outside. Thierry Heuga died that night. The next day would have been his 58th birthday. I mourned Thierry’s shortened life, the disappearance of his laughing eyes and kind heart. I mourned this dire issue in our country and state. Then COVID-19 hit.
