Fire truck honors volunteer Wardsboro firemen

To the Editor,
Most native Vermonters that I know neither need nor want public recognition for the good works that they do – they consider what they accomplish as just normal life that everyone is doing - not true.
Recently, the Wardsboro History Group put together an exhibit honoring the local volunteer fire department – started in 1935 by seven local men who by hard work and their own initiative built a strong foundation that keeps the Wardsboro firemen and firewomen going strong and community-oriented, right now.  A much-needed service in every town.
