Fact and opinion need clear differentiation

To the Editor,
Chris Kayes letter last week regarding DVN’s recent editorial confusing weather and alleged climate change is on point. Generally speaking, the media seems to conflate natural and cyclic weather phenomena with alleged climate change more and more frequently.  Reasons as for why this is occurring range from attention-grabbing headlines to more political and perhaps nefarious reasons.  All of which are unfortunate for a general public seeking unbiased and balanced reporting when it comes to the world of journalism.
