In response to Mr Dassatti’s letter printed in last week’s edition, I would like to clarify some points, address some of his statements, none of which addressed the issue of the Country Gift Emporium operating without proper permitting. His group, as he admits, is made up of many members who serve on municipal boards and elected offices. They do know the rules and he states they discussed the permitting issue since the idea to fund raise surfaced. This erases any excuse they may have had to not know the rules they promote others to follow. Sheer hypocrisy.
