Beware “Rich States, Poor States” media propaganda

To the Editor,
Beware the “Rich States, Poor States” propaganda. When does “rich” not mean rich, and “poor” not mean poor?  When somebody’s trying to sell you a bill of goods.  So beware Vermont, especially Vermont media: another edition of “Rich States, Poor States” (RSPS for brevity) bloomed in April. Co-authored by supply-sider Arthur Laffer, it’s the American Legislative Exchange Council’s annual piece of anti-government, anti-regulation, anti-tax propaganda dressed up as an objective analysis of—what else?—which states are “rich” and which states are “poor.”
