House of Waters performs new album, “Rising”

House of Waters mixes genre-bending jazz with rock fusion.

PUTNEY - Genre-bending jazz and prog rock fusion trio House of Waters will perform at Next Stage Arts, 18 Kimball Road, on Friday, March 18, at 7:30 pm.
Fresh off a globetrotting touring schedule from 2018 to 2019, including four tours of Europe, their first tour in India, and numerous shows and festivals in the US, House Of Waters saw their 2020 touring schedule derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Gratefully in 2021, House of Waters went back on the road again,  eager to please their loyal fans.
House of Waters’ latest album “Rising” was released in partnership with Snarky Puppy’s GroundUP Music label in February 2019. Produced by Guy Eckstine, the album features Max ZT on hammered dulcimer; Moto Fukushima on electric bass; and Ignacio Rivas-Bixio on drums and percussion.
House of Waters’ special guest drummer for this show is jazz, Afro-Latin, and klezmer percussionist Richie Barshay. Based in New York City, he is known to perform with the Klezmatics, Herbie Hancock, Lee Konitz, Esperanza Spalding, Chick Corea, and many others.
Tickets are $17 in theater and $5 virtual. Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours is required for entry to indoor shows. Masks are required while inside the venue.
