Folk performer returns

WARDSBORO - Sofia Talvik, performer of Americana and folk with Swedish roots, will return to Wardsboro’s Town Hall stage on Friday, September 16, at 7 pm; her first performance here was in April 2017. After two years of the world being on hold, she is eager to share new songs from her eighth studio album “Paws of a Bear,” which was released September 2019.
Those who did not attend the 2017 show, prepare for a unique and intimate evening, not unlike 70s coffeehouses. Be up close and personal with a world class act that has played big festivals like Lollapalooza and SxSW and opened for artists like Maria McKee and David Duchovny. Talvik’s delicate songs are performed in an intimate way, showing off her angelic voice, enhanced only by a tasteful mix of harmonies and delays, accompanied by the steady picking of her acoustic guitar and the rhythm section consisting of her own two feet, bells, and a stomp box.
Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Due to COVID-19 caution, admission is by donation; bring refreshments and beverages. Masks will be available and state COVID-19 guidelines in effect as of Friday, September 16, will be followed. For more information about the show call (802) 896-6810 or email kwkmdavis@yahoo.com.
