The wood splitting elves will be busy Saturday

NEWFANE - The wood elves of A Neighborhood United For Fuelwood will be descending on Newfane this Saturday, July 17, at 10 am for another community firewood bee.
At the Yoga Studio at 599 Route 30, right next to the People’s United Bank, ANUFF will be loading about two cords of wood onto trucks. Wheelbarrows and pickup trucks will be needed for this part of the job.
The wood will then be transported to Ro Corbin’s place at 628 South Wardsboro Road for stacking. Corbin has a few logs that will require dicing up so chainsaws and splitters are needed there.
Corbin’s place is about three miles up South Wardsboro Road, a yellow house on the right with lots of parking across the street. She will be serving refreshments. Come on out and join the community fun while helping neighbors utilize a renewable natural resource.
The weather forecast is looking a little unsettled at this point, but Sunday is reserved as a rain date.
