Wilmington Wags kickoff event

WILMINGTON - Calling all local dog owners. On Saturday, October 2, from 1 to 3 pm, owners and their canine friends are invited to stop by the Visitor’s Center, at 21 West Main Street, for the Wilmington Wags kickoff event. Get connected to the “Dog Friendly Downtown” effort, and support this group looking to create more community around dogs in town. Volunteers will have dog-friendly swag and photo ops for human and furry visitors, as well as brochures showing the location of new dog-waste stations placed along a walking route in Wilmington, and a list of dog-friendly businesses in town. The group will also welcome input and ideas to carve out more dog-friendly shared spaces in town.
