Volunteers needed to help with firewood prep

TOWNSHEND - A Neighborhood Uniting For Fuelwood has received a generous donation of about 10 cords of log-length firewood, currently awaiting sawing, splitting, and stacking in Rick and Cindy’s field on Windham Hill.
Some will go to the Pizza Oven at the Farmers’ Market, but the main plan is to dice it up and salt it away for the winter as an emergency backup in case it is needed by the community.
So come on out to 2232 Windham Hill Road this Saturday, October 9, starting at 9:30 am and join the fun. And there are jobs for all ages and abilities. Sunday will be the rain date.
