Plates, authors, history at Brooks

BRATTLEBORO - The Brooks Memorial Library is hosting events this week.
The library will begin the 40th annual Design-A-Plate workshop. It will be a take-home project again this year. Pickup starts Friday, October 1. Drop off plates by Wednesday, October 13.
On Saturday, October 2, from 11 am to 1 pm, meet Archer Mayor and get the lowdown on “Marked Man,” the latest novel featuring Brattleboro’s famous fictional detective Joe Gunther. Copies will be available for sale, plus a signing from Everyone’s Books. This will be an outdoor event.
