Honor veterans this weekend

BENNINGTON - The Vermont Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, along with other volunteer groups, will be honoring veterans at Vermont Veterans Home, 325 North Street, on Saturday, December 18, for “National Wreaths Across America Day.”
Cadets and senior members of the Vermont Wing, along with other volunteers, will be placing live balsam fir wreaths at the headstones of veterans laid to rest in the cemetery. These honors reflect the volunteers’ patriotic spirit and acknowledge the ultimate sacrifice many veterans have made for the country.
Vermont Wing ceremonies will be taking place simultaneously with similar events at more than 2,500 cemeteries in all 50 states, at sea, and abroad.
