Harvest festival will return

READSBORO - On Saturday, September 24, the Readsboro Baptist Church’s annual fall harvest festival will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at the Readsboro Baptist Church and the Bullock Building.
This is the 60th year of the fall harvest festival in a time when traditions are slowly fading away. Thankfully, the fellowship group is continuing the tradition. Some members remember the names and faces of people in the early days who worked, donated, and gave freely of their time to put smiles on all the faces in the community and surrounding towns.
A luncheon with soup, sandwiches, and dessert will occur from 11 am to 1 pm. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be on sale outside and there will be a baked goods table. Also at the festival will be a food basket raffle; American auction; children’s table and events; produce stand; crafts table; and handmade, queen-size quilt on display. Tickets will be on sale; the drawing will be held on Saturday, November 26.
Come and join neighbors, friends, and bring family, children, and grandchildren to share memories and a meal, make new memories, bring home a memento, meet others from surrounding towns, and make new friends.
