Hanukkah candle, drum workshop

BENNINGTON - There will be a Hanukkah candle dipping and drumming workshop on Saturday, December 10, from noon to 3 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 108 School Street. Come make colorful, hand-dipped beeswax Hanukkah candles and then join a lively drum circle co-led by Rabbi Jarah Greenfield and Otha Day in anticipation of the Festival of Lights. This workshop, geared toward families with children ages 3 and older - teens and adults are also welcome - will engage the heart, hand, and spirit to personalize the rituals of Hanukkah and experience Jewish music in a whole new way in concert with West African rhythms. This event is brought by Kesher Shalom: Jewish Families of southern Vermont and Western Massachusetts and is free. Advance registration is required.
