ANUFF looking for new leader

NEWFANE - The helping hands of A Neighborhood Uniting For Fuelwood will be back at Patty Johnson’s to finish getting her firewood in this Saturday, May 7, starting at 9:30 am. The address is 638 Vermont 30.
There will be a splitter going and, if all goes according to plan, a tractor to move wood up the slope to the barn for stacking. Some logs still need to be bucked up so if anyone can bring and operate chain saws, please do. Johnson will be providing light snacks. The weather is looking clear and in the low 60s.
Michael Longo, who has been a guiding force in ANUFF for over eight years, has let the group know he needs to step back from being pointman for personal reasons. ANUFF would like to thank Longo for all the inspiring work he has done for the community.
This leaves a big hole to fill in the ANUFF lineup so the group is asking community members with firewood processing skills to step up to help keep the little group going. Come on out this Saturday and plan for the future of ANUFF.
