NYT poetry critic to visit college
BENNINGTON - The Robert Frost Stone House Museum at Bennington College, in partnership with the Bennington Museum, presents an evening with The New York Times Book Review poetry critic David Orr on Friday, September 24, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Ada Paresky Education Center at the Bennington Museum.
Orr is the author of “The Road Not Taken, Finding America in the Poem that Everyone Loves and Almost Everyone Gets Wrong.” He will offer a fresh approach to the poetry of Robert Frost, in particular his beloved poem “The Road Not Taken,” and will share his ideas about demystifying the process of reading poetry.
This lecture will take place as part of a shared celebration with the Bennington Museum of the 100th anniversary of Frost’s moving to Shaftsbury.
The event is free and open to the public. Masks will be required for all audience members attending in person. A livestream of the lecture will also be available for viewing.
If attending in person register online for the event. For more details visit the Bennington Museum and Robert Frost Stone House Museum websites. Contact frosthouse@bennington.edu with any questions.
