Input on draft river plan sought at meeting

WINDHAM COUNTY- All are invited to learn more about and provide feedback on the draft Deerfield River and Adjacent Connecticut River Tributaries Tactical Basin Plan.
Developed by the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation, the plan includes details about the types of projects that will be needed to maintain and improve water quality in the Deerfield, Green, and North rivers and Fall River, Broad, Crosby, and Whetstone brooks. The draft plan outlines the actions that the state and local community organizations will take to protect and restore rivers, lakes, and wetlands in the basin. A meeting to present the draft plan will take place Thursday, December 19, 6:30 to 8 pm, Wilmington Town Hall, 2 East Main Street.
