Firefighters spend all night battling persistent blaze

By Mike Eldred
WILMINGTON- No one was home when a fire destroyed a Lake Raponda vacation house early Monday evening, according to Wilmington Fire Chief Scott Moore.
The house is located some distance from neighbors and may have burned for some time before it was noticed and reported.  Moore says a neighbor reported having heard a household fire alarm, but the fire may have been visible only from across the lake.
