Wilmington’s economic development department sponsored a business consultant to assist businesses in tackling their most critical challenges.  The two-hour sessions with nationally-acclaimed business consultant Margie Johnson were funded through the town’s 1% local option tax.  Johnson was already familiar with the struggles of many local businesses through her work in six local towns following Tropical Storm Irene.
