The Deerfield Valley News profiled Pat “Tuffy” Bakaitis, owner of Hoosick Sand & Gravel. Bakaitis was well known for his work on “Building Wild,” a National Geographic Channel program. Examples of Bakaitis’ work on the show included a cabin in Dover that was constructed on the base of a decommissioned excavator, and a cabin built using discarded marble slabs in an abandoned quarry in Dorset.
