The Wilmington Selectboard axed plans for a public park and pavilion on the site of the former Sprague property, located adjacent to (then) Blue Mountain Produce (now Farmhouse Market), citing security issues and possible adverse effects on two local businesses. The town acquired the land through a FEMA buyout after the building on the property was destroyed during Tropical Storm Irene. The plan had called for a covered pavilion, restrooms, a lawn, and 10 parking spaces.
