Hermitage Club developer James Barnes sought a $600,000 low-interest, five-year loan from Dover’s economic development fund, part of a $1 million proposal to purchase and upgrade the Mount Snow Airport. Barnes said he also planned to ask Wilmington for a $200,000 loan with similar conditions. Selectboard members said they had no business loan program, and if they were to develop one, it would have a clearly defined scope. Selectboard chair Randy Terk said, “I don’t see it happening any time soon.”
