Mount Snow was approved for a $25 million loan from the Vermont Economic Development Authority, but the loan was contingent on the resort obtaining permits for the work by the end of the year. The projects included replacement of the Summit Local and Sunbrook chairlifts, the installation of additional snowmaking fan guns, and preliminary work on their West Lake snowmaking facility. Mount Snow officials said they hoped to have their local and state permits in place by September.
