Les Otten, the former founder and CEO of American Skiing Company, announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for governor of Maine, touting his entrepreneurial experience and vowing to be the state’s “job creator in chief.” Otten bragged that he started with just four employees at Sunday River and grew the company to more than 1,200 employees.
