Deerfield Valley Elementary School welcomed Rebecca Fillion as its new principal. Fillion had been a sixth-grade teacher at Green Street School in Brattleboro for 12 years, and “an aspiring principal” for several years. Fillion said she was looking for a principal’s position close enough to home that she wouldn’t have to relocate, and DVES’s “phenomenal” reputation was too good to pass up. Fillion is still at the school, which has since merged with Whitingham Elementary School to become Twin Valley Elementary School.
